our health
and provides a safer environment
for our families while saving us time and money.
Wellness
is a multi-faceted term
which covers
many areas of ones well being. To truly have a happy, healthy and
productive life, we need to be well in all aspects. The obvious
aspect of our life that should be healthy is our physical wellness, but
we should also strive to be healthy financially, socially, and
environmentally
(meaning within our own homes).
Moms SOS and our
partner company believe in a wellness lifestyle. Together we strive to
make a major impact on all aspects of wellness for you, your
family, and our environment.
Physical Wellness
Did you know that the leading cause of
death is largely attributed to lifestyle? Yes, we die because of how we
live. When our physical health is in order we can wake up each day with
enough energy and vitality to accomplish every task and conquer every
challenge – not only when we are 20 or 30, but when we are 60 and 70 and
yes, even at 80. It is important to create a lifestyle that promotes
better health to last a lifetime with a balanced diet, regular exercise
and a proven nutritional program.

Two-thirds of the American
population is overweight. More than 40 million people struggle with
chronic pain. 18 million people have either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes.
Unfortunately, these lifestyle related, chronic diseases have
become the modern plagues.
·
955,000 people die of
cardiovascular diseases each year in the US
alone. According to the FDA, diets low in saturated fat and cholesterol
that include 7 grams of soluble fiber from psyllium husk may reduce the
risk of heart disease by lowering cholesterol.
·
According to the American
Cancer Society, cancer is a preventable disease. Nearly two-thirds of
all cancer deaths in the U.S. are attributable to lifestyle, the
most detrimental behaviors being smoking, poor nutrition, and lack of
physical activity.

30% of the American
population doesn’t even engage in leisure activity. And only 9% are
active at an intensity and frequency recommended.
Wellness in Our Homes
The whole idea that our home can be a
healthy or unhealthy environment is
relatively
recent. Terms such as household toxics and indoor pollution have been
coined only within the past few years as the medical and scientific
communities have begun recognizing that common household chemicals can
have an adverse effect on our health. The Environmental Protection
Agency’s studies have shown that indoor air pollutants are 3 to 70 times
higher than outside. This indoor air pollution is linked directly to the
toxic chemicals found in everyday household cleaning products. Now more
than ever is the time to become an informed consumer.

Financial Wellness
Financial wellness is more than just
paying your bills and having a little extra left over. It’s when we
don’t have to worry about downsizing, right sizing, or pay cuts. It’s
when our work doesn’t take time away from our family. It’s when we are
on our way to being debt free. Our financial situation can either bring
stress or security. We can all decide to be financially well. It is
simply a matter of commitment, hard work and dedication.

Social Wellness
We are socially well when we have
friends, when our home is a welcome stop, and when we are respected for
our willingness to help others. Family relationships are a very
important aspect to social wellness. There is nothing more rewarding
than spending more time together as a family. You no longer have to
leave before your kids get up or miss an afternoon soccer game. You
can create a stronger relationship with your spouse by spending quality
time together without all the stresses and headaches. Improving social
wellness means putting ourselves in a better place to recognize the
value of those around us.
